Make sure you raise a toast

It’s the morning of your wedding day, and obviously those nerves have began to set in. However, you need to try and remember that this is a day you want to enjoy and embrace - so what better way to start that than by making sure that you have a toast with your bridesmaids. This is 100% one of the best things to do to start your wedding day.

Get a bride-themed dressing gown

A new tradition that has become hugely popular over the last couple of years and for good reason - who doesn’t want to have an themed dressing-gown on the morning of their wedding? It’s definitely one of the simplest, but effective ways to make sure that you are getting in the spirit for the big day.

Spend as much time together with your bridesmaids

Making sure that you have all of your bridesmaids there in the morning is really important to making sure that you have as an enjoyable and relaxing morning before you leave. Luckily for you, there are so many different ways that you can make sure you get enough time with your bridesmaids. Firstly, you can make sure that you all eat something together for breakfast on the morning of your wedding, and although I know you may not feel like it, you will 100% feel better for it I can promise you. Secondly, you can all find a space where your hair and makeup can be done so that you are all sat together, giving you the opportunity to all chat and spend more time with each other. Enjoying the simpler things like this will be some of the most memorable moments from your day that you can look back on in years to come.

Try and relax

This one may indeed seem impossible to you right now, but there are many ways to try and calm yourself down on the morning of your big day. One way that I have seen in the past is to have a disposable camera there with you, making sure that you can have a laugh and capture some candid moments of yourself enjoying your morning. Also, you need to make sure that someone has created a playlist of all your favourite songs for you to listen to in the morning - I mean if you aren’t reliving all of your younger years whilst getting ready then you are definitely missing out. I have linked a wedding morning playlist that might be a start for some ideas for you.

Leave all of your details out for the photographer to capture

This is a job you can always leave for one of your bridesmaids, but normally during the morning when the photographer arrives, they may ask to take some photos of your wedding dress and jewellery before you get ready. If you can find a window that has some nice natural light then that is usually where the dress will look the best on photos. Having these memories is so nice to look back on and have as a reminder of your wedding day.

Reveal the dress to your bridesmaids

This step is a personal favourite of mine - but once you have put on your wedding dress, it is always so beautiful to see the reactions of your dress reveal. Depending on where you are spending the morning, it is nice to either have your bridesmaids waiting outside the door to your room or at the bottom of the stairs. Not only will you be able to share such an important and emotional moment together, but you will have some amazing pictures to look back on.
