Rachel & Michael
Back in July, Rachel & Michael had their wedding at the insanely beautiful Preston Hall in East Lothian, just outside of Edinburgh. With this venue not host many weddings at all, it was a real pleasure to have the opportunity to spend the day here with Rachel & Michael, and all of their family and friends. As I wasn’t too familiar with the venue when these guys booked, I did my research before on the house, but nothing could quite compare to the beauty of this venue. After getting ready with all of her bridesmaids in the morning, Rachel had a super emotional first look with both her Mum and Dad.
Shortly afterwards, we made the journey over to Crichton Collegiate Church for their ceremony - a 15th Century church is etched in timeless history, and was the perfect place for them to have their ceremony. Afterwards, we headed back to Preston Hall, where we spent some time around the house for some couple photos, before Rachel & Michael had the best confetti entrance to their reception. After some hilarious speeches, great food and drinks and even a musical performance from both fathers (how epic!?), these two spent some time wandering around the walled garden here. This place really wasn’t short of stunning photo spots, and Rachel & Michael definitely did their best to make the most of them.
To finish off the evening, Rachel & Michael both drank from the quaich, a tradition that has been used through the centuries to offer a welcoming drink at clan gatherings, and other family occasions, and to friends and visitors, they enjoyed an evening of Ceilidh dancing, which proved to be pretty interesting with the split of Scottish and English guests they had. A truly spectacular day for this incredible couple.
