Old Palace Chester Wedding
On the winter solstice, Charlotte & Simon had a lovely intimate wedding in the heart of Chester. Both of them spent the morning getting ready at the Old Palace, with Charlotte arriving to the venue in her Dad’s beautiful Rolls Royce. This Georgian house made for the most beautiful setting for their wedding, and the Palace Suite was a great spot for Charlotte to get ready with all of her bridesmaids. Before the ceremony, Charlotte & Simon’s dog, Bella, was given the all-important job of being the ring-bearer, and Charlotte’s and her Dad had a beautiful first look.
They had a beautiful ceremony with all of their closest friends and family, where they exchanged personal vows and rings, before signing the register. We then headed out to the front of the Old Palace, where they did an incredible confetti walk down the steps, before having some group photos here. Their receptions was cosy and warm, with everyone sipping on Limoncello Spritz.
We then headed off down towards the River Dee for some couple photos, where we wandered along, stopping off at The Bandstand and the Queens Park Bridge. Even though the weather was a little wild, it as so lovely to capture these two walking along some of their favourite spots here. After some great speeches, evening drinks and an amazing cutting of the cake, Charlotte & Simon, along with all of their friends and family enjoyed some great dancing to end their special wedding day.
I focused on creating a relaxed and documentary approach to Charlotte & Simon’s wedding, something we had spoke at length about before their wedding. I always try and be as low-key as possible on a wedding day, capturing everything as I see it, and making sure that I create the perfect story from your wedding day. I’ve selected a few of my favourites below.
