Glencoe Couple Shoot, Scottish Highlands

For the longest time now, Glencoe has been a special place to me in Scotland. I have been obsessed with the diverse range of landscapes that this country has to offer, and so being able to mix this with my absolute passion for photographing couples, this was a dream come true for me. Ryan & Abby made the trip over here for a couple session, and to say I was over the moon for them would be a massive understatement.

In true Scottish fashion, the weather did not want to play ball in the morning, with us having pretty much torrential rain in the lead up to their shoot, however we managed to get a short window in the weather, where Scotland really decided to put on a show with some incredibly dramatic conditions.

Ryan & Abby were married a few years back in Greece, a day full of clear sunshine, so having a couple shoot just a few years on from then in the atmospheric Scottish Highlands was the complete polar opposite for them. As we got chatting on the shoot, it turned out that Ryan & Abby had a deep connection with the outdoors, spending as much time as they can in and around Scottish Highlands, which made complete sense for why they were so keen to capture special moments like these in a place so dear to them.

For anyone who does have such a deep connection with the mountains, especially within Scotland, then I can’t recommend a couple session enough to you. Whether you a planning a proposal, or thinking about a post-wedding shoot in Scotland, then I’d definitely consider Glencoe. Or, if you are looking for any other locations across the Highlands, I’d be more than happy to offer some suggestions and help you plan a shoot. If you are looking to boom a adventure session with me, then feel free to get in touch here, and we can start planning your shoot!

Kind Words from Ryan & Abby:

My wife and I had the absolute pleasure of spending a morning with Joe in Glencoe for a couples shoot. Joe’s relaxed way of working, his easy direction and the atmospheric weather meant we had an amazing time.

Joe took us to different locations, taking time to scout the perfect angles to make sure our photos would turn out fantastic. The photos turned out better than we could have imagined, capturing the morning and the Glen in all its glory. All in all, it was an absolute pleasure to spend time with Joe, his personality and his way of working made us feel very much at ease, which meant we could concentrate on getting the best and most natural photos. We couldn’t recommend Joe enough!
