Glasshouse Hotel Wedding, Edinburgh

At the start of September, Maria & Colin made the journey over from Switzerland for their stunning micro-wedding in the heart of Edinburgh. Their family and family flew in from all over the world to celebrate with them on this beautiful day. For their wedding, they chose to have the ceremony and reception at the gorgeous Glasshouse Hotel, right in the centre of Edinburgh. This hotel is the perfect venue for those small, intimate wedding venues. In the morning, Andrea and Ali did an absolutely stunning job getting Maria ready, where she then went on to wear her dress by Lacely Brautmode.

They had their outdoor ceremony on the rooftop garden at The Glasshouse Hotel, before heading off in a cab for a little tour of the city for their couple photos. When I first spoke to Maria & Colin, I knew how important it was for them to see as much of Edinburgh as they could for their couple photos, and so I worked out a small little route that would ensure they got just this. We firstly visited The Vennel, just up from Grassmarket, for possibly one of the best views of Edinburgh Castle in the whole of the city. Shortly after, we headed over to Dean Village, for some timeless moments in this historic part of the Old Town. Making the most of the gorgeous weather that we had on the day, we then moved down to St Bernard’s Well, before finishing up with a walk down one of Edinburgh’s most picturesque spots, Circus Lane. Not only did these two get to have their couple photos in some of the most amazing spots in the city, but they were also able to have some time to themselves on their wedding day, taking in the moment and reflecting on what a special day it was for them.

After an intimater dinner back at the Glasshouse, full of emotional and heartwarming speeches, they enjoyed an evening full of dancing and laughter to round off an incredibly special day.
