Charlotte & Jack | Bledlow | Oxfordshire Wedding
Back in September, I had the pleasure of being able to capture Charlotte & Jack’s wedding in Oxfordshire. Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the chance to document some beautiful weddings in this part of the UK, and so I was very much looking forward to C & J’s day. These two, along with their friends and family worked tirelessly in the week leading up to their wedding to transform their family farm into a stunning setting for the big day.
In the morning, I managed to spend 10 minutes with Jack and his groomsmen as they put on their suits, fastened button holes, and more importantly got some time with the gorgeous ‘Tipple’ (their Jack Russell). With Laura Carroll and Holly Edmonds working their magic over at the girls house, and with Charlotte wearing Sassi Holford, it was time for to head to the Church. These two had their lovely ceremony at a nearby Church, surrounded by all of their closest loved ones. Following a pretty huge confetti exit from the church, C & J took off in a vintage Land Rover to a nearby field, which was in fact the same field that Jack proposed in just a year before. They had a celebratory drink as ‘Mr & Mrs’, before we headed on a short walk in the most beautiful of settings. In these moments, I always prefer to capture couples naturally, rather than posing, to make sure I create timeless and authentic moments, something that resonates with the couple and their relationship.
We then headed back to the reception, where C & J made a pretty spectacular entrance in the vintage Land Rover. After an afternoon of drinks and laughter in the September sun, and some pretty hilarious speeches, it was time to party! To finish the day off in the most perfect way possible, Jack’s dad had secretly set up a firework display for them, which I can confirm was a complete surprise. A truly incredible day for these two amazing people in the heart of England.

Kind Words from Charlotte & Jack:
“We cannot recommend Joe enough! Best photographer ever and someone every couple needs in their wedding entourage. He was everything we could have hoped for and more! From the first chat we had to the wedding day itself, as well and after, Joe was very attentive and helpful.
We are two people who aren’t very comfortable in-front of a camera so we were very apprehensive at the start of the wedding planning process about finding the right photographer. We had been to many other weddings that year where the bride and groom had been absent from their guests for many hours in order to get the right photos - this completely ruined the flow and atmosphere of the day. When we expressed these concerns and experiences to Joe, he assured us that it was our wedding and that he would support us in creating the day we had imagined.
We had the opportunity to work through the timings of the day with Joe as well as the group shots we wanted. This helped things run very smoothly on the day.The photographs taken just after the ceremony are some of our favourites - it was a very natural process and one we enjoyed. We are very grateful for the fantastic pictures of our guests throughout the day - they are very natural, candid and really capture the emotions of the wedding day.Thank you Joe for the incredible photos - they are everything and more.”
